Hillcrest Golf Club Description

Hole #1

Number 1 is 359 yard par 4 that plays downhill.  Your tee shot is blind as your ball will land just over the crest of the hill in front of you.  Your second shot is downhill to a bowl shaped green where balls hit to the left roll off the green.

Hole #2

Number 2 is a 152 yard uphill par 3 that parallels #1.   You need to reach the green in the air, balls hit short will stay below the green. Hit the ball past that green and you have a tough downhill shot to a green that slopes away from you.

Hole #3

Number 3 is a 364 yard par 4 with a fairway that slopes to the right.  Long hitters are left with a short approach shot to a green that also slopes to the front and right.  The locals often play their second shot short and left of the green and let the slope carry their ball to the green.

Hole #4

Number 4 is a 287 yard par 4.  Long hitters can reach this green that slopes to the front and left.  Others play the ball to the left and use the slope of the green to help get their second shot close to the hole.

Hole #5

Number 5 is a 265 yard par 4, the shortest on the course.  This flat green is guarded on the left and right by bunkers. An easy birdie hole if you stay away from the trees on the right hand side of the fairway.

Hole #6

Number 6 is a 401 yard par 4 that plays downhill with an unforgiving fairway.  Stray left and your down in a valley, drift right and the woods awaits you.  The green is flat with a bunker and trees close behind it.

Hole #7

Number 7, Hillcrest's signature hole, is a 221 yard par 3 that plays across a gapping valley and terraced fairway.  Most players reach the green area where a bunker on the left, trees behind and a steep drop on the right await the wayward shot.

Hole #8

Number 8 is a 153 yard par 3 with a green the slopes gently from the back and the left.  Miss to the right and its and easy chip, miss left and a steep bank with deep rough gobbles up your tee shot.

Hole #9

Number 9 is a 275 yard par 4 with elevated tee and green.  This is an wide uphill fairway with plenty of room without getting in the trees on the right.  A bunker behind and to the right of the green awaits the safe tee shot.
